The Inauguration of the NSS unit was held on 21/1/2021 in the conference Hall of Swastika National School. Dr. P L Dharma, Registrar (Evaluation) of Mangalore University was the Inaugurator. Dr. Nagarathna K.A., NSS Program Co-coordinator of Mangalore University was the Guest of Honour. Dr. Raghavendra Holla N, Chairman of Swastika Charitable Trust ® was the President of the function. Dr. P L Dharma inaugurated the NSS unit by lightening the lamp. He spoke about the importance of NSS and the various benefits of NSS to the students. He released the first invitation of NSS activity, a 2 days Residential EPS Program to be held on 29th and 30th January 2021. Dr. Nagarathna K.A conducted the orientation on NSS. She explained the various activities that need to be conducted by the students and spoke about the NSS Camp. Mrs. Sowmya Shetty, NSS officer along with NSS Volunteers took the Pledge. Mrs. Rajeshwari D. Shetty, Principal of Swastika National School conveyed her best wishes to NSS Volunteers. Mrs. Sowmya Shetty, NSS officer proposed the vote of thanks. Abhin S Gowda, NSS Secretary, NSS Volunteers, and faculties of Swastika National School were present.
