On 5 June 2025, MRPL (Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd.) observed World Environment Day with a special program featuring renowned environmentalist Dr. R. K. Nair, widely known as India’s Green Hero. In his inspiring address, Dr. Nair encouraged participants to adopt sustainable lifestyles, reduce pollution, and support urban forestry initiatives, while also emphasizing the significance of Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment).
The event also became a moment of pride for young achievers. The Exploring Gujarat Team took part in an article-writing competition conducted by Dr. Nair to mark the occasion.
The winners from Swastika National Business School were:

Prabhushankar (III B.Com) – Third Place
Their thoughtful articles strongly reflected the event’s message of reducing plastic waste and adopting environmentally responsible practices.
