Swastika National Business School organized an educational exposure visit titled Exploring Gujarat from 1 May to 6 May 2025. The study tour was conducted under the guidance of Dr. R. K. Nair, popularly known as the Green Hero of India. A total of 28 final-year students and two faculty members participated in the visit.
The primary objective of the programme was to provide students with practical exposure to urban forestry, environmental sustainability practices, and the green initiatives implemented in the State of Gujarat. The tour aimed to integrate classroom learning with real-world experiences through the observation of ecological projects, urban green spaces, and cultural heritage sites that reflect sustainable management.
The flag-off ceremony of the tour was held at Mangalore Junction Railway Station at 9:00 p.m. on 1 May 2025. The event was graced by Mr. Srinivas Nayak Indaje, President of the Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists Association, and Mr. P. B. Harish Rai, President of the Mangalore Press Club. Both guests appreciated the institution’s efforts in promoting experiential learning and environmental awareness among management students.
During the six-day visit, participants explored various sites across Gujarat known for their environmental and cultural significance. The programme included expert interactions and field observations, which enhanced students’ understanding of sustainable urban development, ecological balance, and community-driven environmental initiatives.
